Is their a link to the "original three year deal" idea. It's the first I've heard of it.Quote:
Read it yesterday TT. After sifting through the anti Prince rhetoric the only two points of interest for me were about the perceived financial arrangement between the two owners and the implication that KM was looking for new investors.
Under the initial 3 year deal the Prince funded the Club to the tune of £10 million. Last two years he's put in around £6-7 million more matched by KM which tends to confirm previous suggestions that the Prince expected KM to match his investment moving forward. Thats probably where the disconnect about game changing investment appears to have happened. KM probably wanting Prince to agree another 3 year deal whereby he alone funds the Club but Prince said no its 50/50. Tends to suggest there was no formal funding arrangement after the 3 year deal expired. If there was then one could sue the other for breach of contract for not meeting the financial investment terms. The only option in the agreement appears to be buy out which is now happening. The fact its got to litigation seems to confirm the relationship has broken down.
KM mentions other investors but the wording of the article seems to imply there is nothing definite at the moment. What a mess both owners are to blame for letting it get to this situation with little likelihood of a resolution in the near future.
