I've no idea how the offside rule really works Sub.
I also have no idea how a Referee's mind works :(

It is the directives which the referees are given that is changing the modern game. We have seen a player sent off when he has won the ball, however, he is deemed to have endangered an opponent. Leroy Rosenior was excellent when he put his point of view across on Sky, however, he is now talking about a vastly different game to the one which he played.
We really are getting close to it being a non-contact sport where every bit of physical contact will be penalised one way or another.
Having said that, I watched the Sheffield derby last night which was a hard fought game with some good tackles going in and was excellently refereed by Andy Madley --perhaps it is just the PL which is going soft.

Well, Liverpool beat Fulham 2-0 with more controversy surrounding a Mirovic disallowed goal for Fulham --marginal call for offside. Liverpool then take a quick restart with a rolling ball and go straight down the other end and score!
Meanwhile Chelsea v Everton is like watching who can go down with the most dramatic fall when suffering the slightest bit of physical contact, fortunately the referee. Kevin Friend has not fallen for very much of it. Correct decision in this one to disallow a Morata goal for offside and with 5 minutes to go it is still 0-0. Morata just been booked for continual moaning when given offside again --correct decision, in fact, he has been offside more than Andre Gray ever was!

I'm not one who thinks refs are biased, incompetent certainly, but Kevin Friend in this game had me thinking. I sort of half agree with Sub, in that every time an Everton player 'went to ground' Kevin wasn't having it and waved play on, good for him. What was glaring though was the difference whenever an Everton player so much as breathed on a Chelsea shirt, down they went and Kevin obliged with a free kick, it was as though he was refereeing the two teams from two different rule books. I'm not a Chelsea or Everton fan, I didn't really care which of them won, so I was neutral on the outcome of the game, but even as a neutral I thought the bias towards Chelsea was glaring.
Possibly the best example was quite early on, Mina put in what back in the day would have been a perfect tackle on Hazard, he played the ball but his follow through caught Hazard, Friend deemed it dangerous, gave Chelsea a free-kick on the edge of the area and Mina a yellow card. Not long after Alonso tackled Walcott, going off his feet like Mina, he played the ball but his follow through caught Walcott's ankle and he had to recieve treatment, but never mind a yellow for Alonso, Friend didn't even give Everton a free-kick for a tackle that had laid Walcott out and almost put him out of the game. It was certainly as dangerous as Mina's tackle, if not worse.
I can't explain it, this was a bizarre performance from Friend, maybe I'm wrong and refs are biased, even if only subconsciously.
At least some fans will see their team this weekend.

Our first ever game against Accy Sturnsley (yes Im trying to turn them into us when I call them that lol).
I like Accy and other clubs like Fleetwood as well, and I rate them for what they have achieved on their limited resources.
They know more about real English club footy than the likes of ManUre, Chelski, Arselio, and the rest of the appallingly greedy and out of touch so called TOP Premship teams.
Ok, thats me done, rant over!. :O
