Update is he is out of hospital and back at Blackburn
He has suffered a broken nose but it's not as severe as first thought.
As for mulgrew not sure if he has suffered a broken rib or not.
Potentially we could have leutwiller in goal and a partnership of downing and Williams just in front of him for the QPR game
Fingers crossed for some luck on the injury front.
Agree fully champs
Thankfully no game until Saturday
Although you could argue that we didn't GET extra players in the two positions we needed them most: an out-and-out winger, and a one-for-one substitute for Graham.
We could suffer long-term injuries to both of our stalwart, long-standing defensive midfielders (Smallwood and Evans), and still have more than adequate cover in that area: Bennett, Davenport, Reed, Travis, Rodwell. And, of course, we have central midfielders with a more attacking inclination too.
TM has shown himself to be very innovative and flexible, and he likes versatile players. All the same, I'm sure he will be looking for two specialists in January, in the positions mentioned.
I am not knocking Brereton, by the way. His potential has been obvious in a couple of games. I'm still not convinced he's a No. 9, though. I may well turn out to be wrong on this, long-term, but - despite his size - he looks more like a No. 10 to me - a bigger version of Dack. He seems to be at his best when running at the defence, rather than playing with his back to the goal, in the classic "target-man" style.
