It only seem's like yesterday we were neck and neck in the betting to stay up with Motherwell and Killie and County were FAVS for the dreaded drop or play off.
For those not acquainted with betting odds 2 months ago a bet on United or Motherwell to go down would have paid the same ie £10 on either would have paid around £30 back if they finished bottom. Now your tenner gets you between £15 to 16.67 for United to go down but its a £160 return if Motherwell were to finish last.
Some interesting stats on P&B today that i was told about, apparently we are one point behind where the Funsters were at the same point last season and we are 14 points worse off than where we were at this stage last year.Without exaggeration i reckon at least 10 of them points are down to the difference between Benji and The Indian Crisp.
And by the same token,if a good keeper can save a side a dozen points then the difference between the two keepers,in terms of points won or lost,is nearer 2 dozen
Think I said before Livi away that we were 50/50 for the drop, would say that's moved to 80/20 now. We needed a win from either Livi a or St Mirren h to move the dial, and Killie beating Hearts has made it even harder.
The simple fact is we need a win to start an escape. A draw on Sunday is no use.
No surprise Motherwell have picked up since Butch has been in the side
