Defensive organisation, time wasting & gamesmanship just make it a poor spectacle.
Going down with cramp and fake head injuries needs sorting out. Maybe they should make all injured players that stop play be replaced for 5 minutes to be checked over (even allow a temp replacement). They'd soon think twice if they knew they had to go off and stay off.
Last night their keeper had 2 lengthy spells of treatment and they added 3 minutes, 2 of which their lad reckoned he was in agony after being hit in the ribs, embarrassing.
I'm happy with our manager, and can't fault most of the squad. There's just a small element of soft, showboaters that go missing when the going gets tough. We need battlers, not bottlers. Namely Alli, Sterling & Lingaard.
These players look a million dollars when things are going their way. They look to others to sort things out for them when they're not.
Against Iceland nobody stood up, at least last night enough of them did.
Loftus-Cheek looks quality, and a physical presence (something the rest of the midfield are lacking).
Rashford is Sterling in reverse. He turns up for England and looks scared to death playing under Mourinho.
