Shackell’s sending off
“a bit overblown?
I'm sure the fourth official will escape any form of censure for getting in the way of a player who has just been sent off. That's how I saw it at the time.
The official made a proper meal of a slight contact.
Expect there will be a fine as well. You would think he will stand no chance with the appeal where beep smug Mason is involved.
What a load of Football League sh-te.”

All from the Lincoln City board about Shackell’s confrontation with the fourth official following his sending off.
I was about 20 yards away with a clear view. Shackell walked over to the fourth official and started talking to him. The 4O didn’t move from his spot but pointed Shackell down the tunnel at which Shackell pushed him firmly on the upper chest or shoulder forcing him back a foot. The 4O immediately made a note and called Mason over to report it.
Sorry lads, it wasn’t overblown, no one got in Shackell’s way - he forced the confrontation. The push was a strong one forcing the official back. Mason’s involvement was to listen to the 4O and he’s had no option but to report the violent conduct. And the FL have no option but to act.
I expect at least an extra 4 match ban.

Two match suspension, though that will include the one for the two yellow cards. I wonder how many it would have been if the season went on longer?
