Thanks for replying present once again Waldron. Here are my (tentative) predictions for Saturday.... I must admit I'm a bit pessimistic about Rovers' chances this season, and am expecting a bit of a goal drought. Let's hope this prediction is proved wrong...

@scarjo
I'm also not feeling very optimistic with what has happened so far, although I hope to be proved wrong.
It seems that Silvertop is similarly pessimistic from his posts on another thread.

Here's my real prediction.
Dick Watson was the last board member who had any passion for Rovers. Andrew Watson is not as passionate. The board are businessmen who want to make money and currently want Rovers to be more self-sufficient. Ferguson couldn't get the players he wanted on the self-sufficient budget available to him, so he walked, leaving the club better organised and a stronger team than under Paul Dickov. But the team is only capable of a 15th place. Even with the best will in the world and Taylor and Vieira on board they can't have that much of a difference to the teams place in league one. We have squandered the summer transfer window.
My prediction is that we will lose to Southend and drop into the bottom third of the table. Maybe win or draw with Wycombe putting us mid-table. Against Burton, Shrewsbury, Portsmouth and Peterborough we will be lucky to get 4 points. By the time we get to 10 games in we will hear the first cries of "McCann out" because he promised a play-off place and it will be clear with a quarter of the season gone that it is not going to happen. McCann can promise the world for free, but when the season starts he will be found out as 23 other teams also want to win.
It will be an interesting season, but not one we will shout about as a good one.

Pretty despondent with the transfer activity ( though I realise loan window has further to run ) if its only to be loans why on earth are they not in now. Pretty sure it will be a mid table struggle for DRFC ( unless the manager gets in the players he wants permanently, and doesn't run with "young loans")/

Lifelong and Mad, great to have you guys back on board for another season.
I expect this season (from a Rovers perspective) to be very similar to last season unless something wonderful happens before the start of the season.
If we don't score against Southend it will be 9 EFL games (6 league and 3 friendlies) without scoring a single goal.
