Funny that bongo but ive never seen gabby pick the ball up from his own half dribble past 5 defenders and slot in, in front of the Holte End!!
Why do you keep mentioning him, get over him. He did his bit but for me, it reminded me a bit of Tony Morleys goal scored away from home in the European cup tie or even Dalians goal v Wimbledon either way, he is now officially A Ledge.....

I've never seen Ross McCormack do that either Dave or in freers case Craig Gardner.
To be fair Hutton scored a similar goal this season in pre season i think? It goes to show how having a top professional attitude has make Hutton from a joke to a hero. Even when we got relegated he was one of the players that didn't receive criticism due to his effort and professionalism. It's a shame Gabby and Ross don't have the same attitude because both would be still with us if they did.

Bongo after your perpetual sounding off for the return of Barry, Young, Hesky, old uncle Tom Cobly & All, plus anyone ‘the wee fellah’ signed
Essentially I expressed that Craig Gardner (at the time) would have offered us an option of an aggressive tenacious individual capable of a producing a half decent impersonation of a full back end of !
During his fantastically compensated final 4 year deal/siesta Gabby barely displayed sufficient brain cells to engage a toilet, let alone pick his way past 5 defenders ¬I doubt if was capable of tricking his way into a Handsworth drinking den

Well I used to drink occasionally at the monty in handsworth. Dreadful place but enjoyed the curry goat.
I've got nothing against Gardner apart from that he asked to leave and then became a blue nose badge kisser.
Barry would have been an excellent buy.

We Still have Ross on the books Bong, hes not gone yet, 2 more years! It was Lambert (fool) who bombed Hutton out but he stayed focused, took a paycut to earn another year, give him another, any player who can score a goal like that deserves some credit.

Oddly enough he's apparently our fastest player. It shows he trains hard as in theory he should be getting slower. I'm supprised he hasn't had a call up for Scotland unless he's retired?

When you look at some of Gabby's goals he was brilliant at times, but like far too many out there he couldn't produce the goods consistently over a number of seasons vs the likes of Shearer & Rooney. It went to his head and he thought he was bigger than the club, that said he had so many different managers down the years that it must have affected him. Perhaps he needed better man management, Ross I think as a seasoned pro is just bad news - compare him to Hutton.....
I did see someone raving about Whelan's performance so fair play to the man, not everyone's cup of tea and who knows, under Smith he may learn to use the ball better. Chessie is not fully fit after a knock, no wonder he's blowing - probably the most important thing we do in January is get another centre half as cover. It's a long hard season.
