There was nothing wrong with the team picked today, just plenty wrong with the approach that team then took. If our build up play was any slower it would be like watching a match with the rewind button on

Brutal performance today, and a total clusterfcuk of tactical ineptness.
Did we have a right back after Hoban went off, and a left back when Lowe went off? Two at the back?
Where do you start? Sideways, sideways, back, back. Nobody taking responsibility in midfield. Shinnie was as brutal today as he was last Sunday. GMS? McGinn? Stewart? Never seen either of that lot being so bad.
Is it a coincidence that since Stewart has come in, we’ve turned to rat sh1t? I just don’t think him and McInnes are a good mix.
You've pinned the blame on Considine whilst conveniently ignoring McKenna, Logan and Hoban's mistakes in the last 4 games.
Hoban, Devlin, McKenna and Lowe would probably be the best back 4 in the country but it looks like we won't see them see them all play together this season. The amount of injuries that Hoban and Devlin suffer from is a concern.
We've missed a hoor of a lot of sitters in those last 4 games which hasn't helped either.
The easy answer to give is the manager. But the players must shoulder some of the blame as well. Our lack of movement when we have the ball is frightening at times so no wonder we end up knocking the ball Square plus how many times did we get in a good position to put the ball in the box today but chose to keep possession rather than take a chance by crossing the ball?
Devlin, Considine, Hogan, Lowe, Shinnie and Ferguson in front of Joe Lewis against St.Mirren has a lot wrong with it. 4 defenders and 2 sitting midfielders against St.Mirren was a major boob from McInnes. The tactics and formation needs to change if we want to be a serious threat to winning trophies. This current manager has been well and truly found out to be holding us back.
Today was a prime example of how setting up the team to be attacking, means we just fill out spaces to exploit, especially with a team that is intent on sitting in and defending.
We are not good at breaking teams down, so we need to pull them out of position.
I fully believe if we kept our usual 4-2-3-1 formation we would have won today.
DM’s failed in that regard setting up as he did.
McGinn as well was back to his usual self.
He should have been hooked at half time, else 10 minutes into the second half if he didn’t fare any better
McGinn
You have missed the point, for 14 years according to the Consi fan club almost every defender we have had has been the problem but Considine isn’t.
Hoban,Lowe and McKenna will be gone this summer, if we were to get rid of Logan as well we will have a whole lot of new defenders alongside Consi and they will end up getting blamed for us being pish in defence.
Considine is not the only problem but he is a big part of the problem, always has been and always will be.
