An enquiry
Cambridge United have a community trust and have recently appointed a new head on 35 grand a year. Not only that, he has a staff of TWELVE. They will be earning from 15 grand to thirty or in between.
What rankles is that this money could be spent on players, new toilets or a number of football related stuff. Do Carlisle have a community trust? The Cambridge one is huge. Its as if the board have lost sight of whats important ...winning.
Cambridge just seem like a big social club, with football as a hobby. No one gets upset over losing, which we do a lot.

We have a Trust which owns about a quarter of the Club. They’ve renamed themselves CUOSC because no-one, er, trusts them. They have a place on the board but do bugger all. If they started spending money it would be their own, not the Club’s, but as they’ve sod all money and hardly raise a bean for CUFC they’d find it hard to employ anyone.

Thanks Bexley, Uniteds run walking football, jogging groups, oap groups, and god knows what else. It all costs. I am running the risk of looking like a kill joy.
All I want is a winning football team. Is that asking too much? Someone should look into how these "trusts" manage money. If it was up to me, they would have to prove their innocence. Astra Zeneca are "community sponsors", maybe they and the club create accounts where the stuff just disappears.
This club is as dodgy as it gets.
