They have no history and even more importantly have no fan base- it is a non starter.
I did not know they shared Galabank with Annan.
Would like to see people getting behind the three existing D&G teams, not trying to create a new one based on an overvalued, overblown idea. Puts me in mind of Gretna.
Can't say as I'm bothered about the fans of Annan Athletic and Stranraer, or neutrals for that matter, getting behind those teams tbh, I am only concerned about fans following our Club. I don't get the love-in that some of our fans have with Annan Athletic, they're in an area competing for the same fan base, as are Carlisle Utd to an extent. I know a few people from the Annan area still travel to watch Queens home and away, but how many others who used to come up the road regularly have abandoned Queens since Annan Athletic came into the League structure. Even if it's only a handful it's revenue lost to Queens.
As for the plans of EduSport, like others have said, pie in the sky and very unlikely to seriously get off the ground. Not quite the same lines as Gretna, this is more to be fan financed rather than a rich man's toy, although it allegedly turned out that Gretna's millionaire backer was not as rich as he made out as his creditors will testify. Reminds me of a former Glasgow club in that respect.
