    Not so easy

I see SEVEN Championship teams were knocked out by lower league clubs, I've heard a couple of "it's only Mansfield" comments, well it goes to show that these early rounds against lower teams are never easy, we know only too well ourselves how hard it can be...so a big well done to the Owls for a solid display against the Stags, a lot of changes to the team as well, seems we might have some depth in the squad now.

It was an enjoyable game to watch, Mansfield had a couple of spells which gave the game a bit of competition, but the Owls were terrific, it was good to see some of the new faces and Lucas Joao looks a real genuine prospect. Glad I went, even though I'm a NS regular !! UTO's

I can't remember the last time I was entertained at Hillsborough and walked out of the ground saying 'I enjoyed that'.

Joao looked incredible - the manager might keep telling us he's still a boy, but if you have the talent, why not use it? Loved the new attacking flowing football and the way the wingers practically played on the South/North stand concourse!

The real test is the next few games - Ipswich is a tough one and will be a test of character for many of the new lads. But if we continue to play that style of football throughout the season, you'll not hear much complaining about ticket prices.

I think it's more of an indicator of how highly the League Cup is regarded by most clubs these days aussie.

Lots of second strings played, by clubs from all three divisions competing. Be a different story when we get to the last 32.
