WANDERERS have distanced themselves from speculation linking them with Brentford striker Clayton Donaldson.
The former York City and Crewe Alexandra front man scored 18 goals for Championship new boys Brentford last season but is out of contract and could leave for nothing this summer.
Reports yesterday claimed Wanderers and Birmingham City were considering a move but The Bolton News understands that the 30-year-old is not a target for Dougie Freedman.

Good point campo. Reckon he was brought in for a couple of reasons. Cheap and a point to prove. Did OK on one of them but not the other!!!
Serious point though. I can't see Beckford being involved that much next season if Dougie continues with his signings of young players
