    Starting XI

I think we’ve now established who should be first picks on the team sheet from now until end of the season and they are - Butcher, Harkes, Pawlett, Safranko and either Connolly or Reynolds. Bouhenna is fine so long as he is playing beside either one of the latter two players. Bouhenna alongside Watson though gives me the fear. Our recent defeats by Partick and ICT in the cup have been when some of the above have been missing. Hopefully Pawlett can start to do a 90 minutes but I have big fears that Butcher is going to get a red at some point in one of these closing fixtures, yet conversely you wouldn’t want him taking that edge off his game which has been so beneficial since his arrival.

6 games to go. We can do this.

I think you can add left mid Robson to that list as well, but i cant tell the difference between him and Booth for LB. And its a bit harsh that Clark isnt on the list as well, just for his goals to games ratio, but Pawlett will score goals from a similar position.

We do seem to be managing a few injured players, or maybe not as fit as they really should be. Pawlett, Seaman and Watson with slight issues recently, with Connolly, Smith and Frans maybe out for longer than is ideal for this time of the season.

As for Central defence, i dont think there is much difference between them all, but im not sure if i would like Frans with Bouhenna together again, or either with Watson.
