Charlton go through to the Quarter Finals where they will meet Sheffield Utd after an infamous win over Sheffield Wednesday.

The Addicks went in front on 22 minutes after Callum Harriott's belter of a shot scored the opening goal, assisted nonetheless by Astrit Ajdarevic who continues to impress in midfield also set up the goal from a corner against QPR.

After having few shots on target and less possession, the Owls came right back into the game in the 2nd half and Leon Best equalised on 65 minutes, ex addick Miguel Llera was involved in the goal build-up play.

However Simon Church ensured the direction of travel went the Addicks way with a header from Johnnie Jackson's free kick on 65 minutes. Thereafter Charlton held on, Hamer also putting in some great saves to deny a near Sheffield Wednesday equaliser so welcome back to him and cue wild celebrations at the end.

Hard luck to Sheffield Wednesday it sounded very close in the 2nd half. So on to Bramall Lane on Sunday March 9th 12.0
