I couldn't help noticing last night at 75 minutes, with City leading 2-0, Ederson decided to run the clock down a bit by wasting time taking a goal kick. Tom never took more than just over 30 seconds at Chelsea, and only 20 seconds had elapsed since the ball went out of play, when he got a yellow card. Ederson had managed to delay the game for almost 40 seconds, and was about to take the kick, when he decided he was thirsty and went to fish his water bottle out of the goal, he took a swig, put it back and toook the goal kick. He took 48 seconds over the kick, a couple of United players half-heartedly protested, Mr Marriner was completely disinterested and no one mentioned anti-football.

Ah well, this was the stunningly entertaining football machine called Manchester City after all, coached by that footballing god Pep Guardiola, whatever Ederson was up to, it clearly couldn't have been time-wasting. One rule for us, another for them.

You beat me to it sinkov, I was going to open up a thread about referees and footballing favouritism. It was a totally absurd booking for Tom, but Friend has form for disparity towards us.
