It's couple of war films for me this afternoon

No football for me today. Kids were called off this afternoon and my local team my son in law plays for also off.

Watching the Cruel Sea. Good film lots of grim reality. One of the very best WWII books. Office worker from Birmingham never seen the sea volunteers as a junior officer on a corvette. That's the way it was.

Followed by the ludicrous Battle of the Bulge full of Hollywood stars and Hollywood c rap.

I'm afraid the days when Albion came before pretty much everything are long gone for me. Cruel Sea finished by ko. Just had the call that although local football is off the club is open and I'm going to stroll down there to watch the 2nd half scores come in which usually coincides with the team's full time.

Great atmosphere in there with fans from a couple of dozen different sides. All the usual big teams but the two most vocal are a Torquay fan and a Rochdale fan. Everyone knows my team.

As a bonus my daughter and son in law will be there and a couple of pints of Harvey's.
