Losing track: squad as it stands...

Nombe, oddofin, green, Tiehi, Phillips, rathbone, raggett, rafferty, humphries, bramall, kioso, mcwilliams, eaves, hugill, jch, James.

We could almost put a reasonable team out now!

    E.g.
    Philips
    Rafferty, raggett, Humphries. James
    Rathbone, McWilliams, tiehi
    Jch, hugill, eaves.

Who'd have adamed and eved it!

Do you want to become the owner of the sticky for 2024-25 that Millertop used to curate showing the squad and contracts?

How many more 30 yr olds, is he going to sign???. Did the vast majority of fans and people on this forum come out and say they want no more of it? Yes they did.

    Deja Vu.

See it for what it is. We can never compete in the league above but we have more than enough of the means to compete and possible dominate the current league. We may as well enjoy the boom and bust because unless we get another buyer this is what it is. By the way, if Birmingham or Huddersfield were bringing these proven division one winners in and we were sat doing nothing there would be meltdown. I’ll back SE everyday - pure entertainment and hopefully a very good season to come.

It looks like SE is putting a League 1 All Stars team together for instant promotion. This,of course,is with the blessing of TS because a strategy will have been discussed. ''We'll worry about The Championship if/when we get there'' will be the logic behind what is going on now. From the moment TS sacked LR the route of taking the more modern day approach of Director's of Football, young, intelligent managers with Sport Science minds and 5 year plans etc was ripped up and thrown in the bin.TS was sick to the back teeth of what that had become.....a depressed club with it's chin on the floor.....including his own.He more or less said in his recent interview that we are going to have some fun because ultimately that is all it's about!

    Well said Jimmy
We want to get back up and that’s the aim right now. Looking at the signings so far we are putting together a good team.
I understand from some a concern about the age thing although some on here are just intent on trying to wind others up with the negative tripe on every post.
Let’s enjoy the ride because last season was horrendous and hopefully we should enjoy this one.
I also think if we do go up we will go again with some signings better equipped for the championship.
    Bring it on.

Nothing wrong with signing 30 yr olds. At least they are only 2 yr contracts and not longer. So at least after a year there should be some h(admittedly small) fee for the player who has cost nothing. All of the signings have a minimum of 200 appearances so none of them appear to be lame ducks so nothing to go quackery about. Keep up the good work SE.

Great points NWC. Birmingham and Hudders are in meltdown over what we are doing. They feel we are stealing a march on them. As for the age of our signings..........30 is NOT old for a modern day footballer. I agree that the re sale asset value is diminished but we have hardly found our windfall with selling assets which we thought would be.The odd 300k here, the odd 700k there.Harry Kane is 31 in July,Kyle Walker is 34 tomorrow..........would anyone suggest that they should be dropped from the England squad?

From all the promotions over the past 12 years not once have we been champion's.
Maybe TS last season? Centenary year?
SE may have been given the green light to go for it.
