What is the difference?
For years and years we had trouble overcoming teams like Everton and noocassul, at least on a regular basis anyway...
O`Neill, Bruce, Keane, McCarthy, and others besides all struggled to get positive results against these mediocre type teams, but did have limited success..
We have only ever had Three Continental Managers at this Club and they just happen to be the latest
Three, yet ALL Three have had Massive success in defeating our bogey sides, both (Home AND Away), and with relative ease it has to be said...![]()
I hope we stick with the Continent-talian style Managers from now on!...![]()

Ha Ha, speaking of Breakfast..
A Few Crumbs did just happen to spill out of my Bowl of Muesli this Morning and i fully expected Uncle Tom to come over to hoover up the mess, point it out, and teach me the error of my ways...
Has he spotted it yet?

I'm not sure what it is exactly, something between lack if intellect, laziness, inability to change, maybe lack of leadership character, but the Brits have been deficient for a couple of decades.Originally Posted by elsphynx

I dunno what it is either, still cant work it out, but there is definitely some definitive difference between the `Home` Managers and Continentals...
I think you may be close with the "inability to change" rationale...
Maybe it's the bigger management pool, the more you have to chose from they better change you have got of getting quality ..
There's been some good "British" managers around, although I use the quotes as most of them tended to be Scottish ..
Prem Clubs these days, especially the big ones tend to like manager's who've won things. Not much choice of those unless you widen your nets a bit ..
Heard an interesting stat on the radio today...no foreign coach has ever won a World Cup![]()
Too lazy to confirm..
Apart from 1966, they have all been foreign so far as I am concerned.![]()
Great, we`re ganna win the next World Cup man!
