Main players for the Job of Derby County manager and who would you go for ?

Pearson- I like him - but he may be too strong a personality for MEL.

Rowett - He is up and coming and think he will suit everyone - popular.

Sherwood - I like him as well - but fans objections wont help him

Martinez - He needs a rest - good - but damaged goods at the mo

Warburton - TOP PICK - but unavailable

Coppell - well past sell by date methinks

    MY REALISTIC PICK: ROWETT

Warburton or Pearson for me out of that lot! Rowett has done nowt and rates Shotton which says a big no no from me!

Not sure it's going to matter all that much. If I am really honest our opportunity with this squad of players came and went with the McLaren episode. Quite possibly the final lost to QPR. We never really recovered.

You might be right. Really hoping the squad fancy sticking with it, but fear they'll feel its one miss too many. It's why for me the appointment of new manager should be someone innovative and plays exciting football to encourage our good players to stay for one more shot.

I wouldn't dismiss coppell, I believe he's still got a lot to offer. Been helping out Portsmouth, Crawley and pardew asked for his assistance before the cup final. He's well respected and got 106 points with reading to get promoted to the premiership, where he finished 8th which isn't bad for a small club. I think he's a serious option for a role at the club possibly not manager but very intelligent and very astute manager that is highly rated by people in the know. Main issue is he won't allow interference doesn't put up with idiots - that's when he loses interest. He can get a club up and stay up but you have to be as ambitious as he is or he walks away.
