    Will Hughes

Feels like he's leaving to me.....

    What do we think?

We should be building round him.... not letting him go.

We think we should cash in, we are fed up with own-half five-yard 1-2s

Time to move on, undoubtedly skilful but we can't carry him just because he plays pretty.

There is a view that Rowett does not rate him, but why sell him we would only get £500K

Can't see us selling him to a Championship rival and would a Premiership side come up with what we would want i.e. imo and based on what we got for Hendrick, somewhere between £10-12m?
Think we sometimes forget how good he was before that serious injury and how unsettled things have been at Derby since his return.

Without doubt a skillful player, but tippy tappy doesn't get you out of the Championship. We either play the way we were playing with nice passing football getting nowhere or we should cash in on a few of the show-boaters and bring in hungry players who want it. There are to many players here happy to pick up their wages without doing owt! Really disappointed that these players really under performed this season and hope Rowett kicks a few arses and gets in a few warriors!!! The only players I want to stay are Lowe and Carson, the rest I'm not bothered about!

Hughes is never going to be a 'warrior' although he somehow picks up more bookings than most, but with a 'minder' actually doing that job properly alongside him we might yet see the best of him.
Just Lowe and Carson seems a tad drastic.

I know it seems drastic but I can honestly say it wouldn't bother me if any of the other players left!

No, it's a sad indictment isn't it? Can't say I can think of any individual player I'd be devastated to lose either but Carson, Lowe, Keogh, Hughes and Nugent are probably the ones I'd rather keep.
