Some pillock in Westminster came up with the idea of using Statistics to measure Crime, and then reward the Constabularies who produced good comparative results. The result is that Chief Constables massage the crime figures in order to qualify for their bonuses, and furthermore the Public don't even bother reporting crime any more because the Police haven't got the resource to send 2 constables round to investigate. Westminster thinks everything's fine and dandy, and they even try telling us that crime figures are down! Everyone knows that the streets aren't safe - we don't want some complacent tw*t telling us we're wrong.

We clearly need many more Bobbies on the beat, and even when we get the excuse that Bobbies are spending all their time filling in Human Rights forms, it's no excuse.
SPEND MORE MONEY on Law and Order!
And make sentences a lot harder, because there doesn't seem enough disincentive to commit crime. Daft kids are growing up seeing that they can pretty well do what they like.
And Prisons should be a lot more unpleasant than they obviously are. Why are Prisoners beating up Prison Officers? Put the b*stards in Solitary - that way they can't misbehave.
I'm not going to get political about this, but why can't we throw much more money into Law & Order INSTEAD of throwing money away on the 0.7% Foreign Aid fiasco (where we're ploughing money into African Dictators' pockets).

Had a call from my daughter from our works site in Dudley today.

One of my small units was going up in f kin flames due to the local junior arsonists.

On this ocaission the little C N U T S have done me a favour because the insurance is probably worth more to me than the old unit but that's not the point.

There's no respect for property and for what people have worked for anymore and not enough coppers on the beat to deal with the scum.

The fire brigade were top notch though as always and arrived in minutes....too feckin efficient to be honest, another ten minutes and the old shack would've been obliterated which would've saved my demolition costs!!

You say not to make it political, but it is really isn't it.

Most people on this site voted Tory, when it was obvious Labour would have put more money into public services such as policing.

Most people on here voted in favour of Brexit, when it is obvious in the next decade we will have a poorer economy for it, meaning less cash in the coffers for public services.

The bed is made, now we have to lie in it.

Everyone is aware that the Tories look only after themselves and their friends, that why most public services are on their knees. Including the prisons, where young criminals should be rehabilitated. There are more drugs, extremism and violence in our prisons than ever before which means criminals come out and just commit crime time and time again. This in turn just creates more crime, its like a never ending cycle.

But as long as most of the electorate believe the Sh!te they are reading in the toerag press, then the top Tory MP's are okay with their cash stuffed away in their tax havens and the everyday person will suffer the consequences. They don't give a sh!t about nurses or firemen or soldiers or police officers or teachers. These are the people who are the backbone of our country...

But hey don't forget, Corbyn once had a meeting with the IRA....Pffff

And Corbyn promised to do away with tuition fees and scrap those who had already paid them. Then he comes out with 'I didn't realise the enormity of the problem'. Don't you think he should have done before making all those promises to the young of this country who voted for him in their droves. If he did know, then he was telling an outright lie. Choose which option you want! This is the man you want to lead our country. Oh by the way, he didn't attend the Passchendale tribute ceremony. He was on a cycling holiday in Croatia. Theresa May managed to interrupt her holiday to attend.

WBA123, you seem to believe that everyone who voted Tory or voted for Brexit are delusional. You, though, are just as delusional. Do you seriously believe the lies of Corbyn, McDonnell & co? Labour had no chance of delivering on their election promises and anyone who believed that rubbish, is, quite frankly, stupid. Brexit, if it does happen, will be the biggest mistake this country has made for a very long time and most of the population do not understand the implications. As for our political parties, at least the LibDems want to stop Brexit but as for Labour and the Tories, neither deserve our votes. Those two main parties consist of a majority of EU membership supporting MP's, yet few of them have the courage of their convictions to vote against Brexit; they should remember that this country is a parliamentary democracy and not one run on the results of binary referenda.

    Very well put Kets.

"Neither Labour or Tories deserve our votes".....how true.

I voted Brexit because I foolishly believed there was a plan in place,if I'd realised how inept the Tories were in this regard I'd have voted to stay in.

There are two places to lay the blame imo.......Cameron for being so weak and insipid when trying to get us a better deal and those European w a n k e r s who would not give some ground on immigration.

I continue to ask one simple question of people who believe in free movement but I never get a straight answer so I'll ask it again on here.

We are a small island and our nett gain in human bodies is around 250,000 per year....fact!

One day, maybe a couple of hundred years from now we will have an extra 50 million people in the UK at that rate.

At some point immigration rules will surely have to change so here's the question.......if not now,at what point will immigration have to stop purely because we have to sleep standing up due to lack of space?

At some point we run out of room...simple mathematics tells you that.

So either manage immigration properly now or stop it almost completely in the next 50-200 years?
