Wales- equal to a Championship team

Wales have relied on local boy Gareth Bale for far too long and without him are about Championship standard. With him in the team they are a fraction better. As for Chris Coleman it's the right time to resign. He has failed this time round and because football is a results orientated business I don't think there's a future for him. The welsh footballing public got too carried away after the unexpected success in the Euros and now they should realise their team just did not have the quality to get to the next stage of the competition . If anything it has saved the embarrassment of coming up against a quality team in the play offs. Ireland will also find this out. The difference being they had a manager with a game plan , and was also getting the best out of what he had on his team sheet.
As for Chris Coleman getting a job in the Premier League or even the Championship , would you want him? I wouldn't. Remember , when the job at Hull City became available not that long ago? The media linked him strongly with the position and the Hull City fans went ballistic.
Like it or not, it's time to start afresh starting from the manager downwards. They have some good youngsters coming through like Woodburn and Brooks. All they need is the Welsh FA to appoint someone who has a plan A , B and C to get the best out of them.
To me, the result tonight was no big surprise. All the hype and build up was all about Wales and they seemed to forget Wales were playing a team that had something Wales did not have- match winners.

They got beat by a team who had three Clarets in the starting eleven and who were set-up in the image of a Sean Dyche side.

Eire were hard to break down, resilient and resolute. Done well with limited resources has Coleman. One of those nights, get over it!
