Whilst not always agreeing with the points that he made, I thought that he came across as an articulate and intelligent individual. Much better than the usual left wing 'luvvies' that the BBC usually churn out. Incidentally, Anna Soubry was conspicuous by her absence. She was advertised as being on last night's panel!

What qualified John Barnes to be on Question Time? Surely not because Fiona fancies him? John Barnes must be the most overrated footballer of all time. That, of course, has no bearing on whether Fiona fancies him! Or maybe it does.......!!!!!
Watched last nights QT. Thought the ex-Greek Finance Minister Yanis Faroukasis made some very good points. He said Whether you're a Brexiteer or Remainer, this is a deal that a nation signs only after having been defeated at war. He blamed May for being incompetent and naive. How we could have done with him on our side over the last 2 years. Seems to have more common sense and streetwise than our lot put together
I watched the first part last night and I was impressed with him too. Thought he offered some sense to both remain and leave sides of the debate.
The one point he made that stuck in my mind was he thought it was best to leave the EU but stay in the CU and SM for an indefinite period to provide business with certainty. Then to have a people's vote within the next 5 years to determine what kind of Brexit we should adopt or whether we should rejoin. Before that vote goes ahead, the voting public would actually have a clear plan in place for every eventuality for people to vote on.
He was basically saying we are in a political mess because May triggered article 50 without any negotiation or planning beforehand and has put herself in a corner, couldn't agree more.
