Is it just me who thinks these are a complete waste of time? It's obvious the bloke knows naff all and if he did know something he wouldn't be allowed to say anything, but if he could would be more inclined to break it as a news story and not on a poxy webchat. In the bin with it.

No it's not just you. I also think it's very pretentious.

It seems somewhat grandiose to assume the role of being the 'oracle' of all things Notts County, to whom fans (loyal subjects?) should come, cap in hand, for the definitive word on what's true or what's not. We already know that quite a lot of Leigh's material is sparked from message boards like this, rather than his own investigative journalism, so why is his opinion any more worthy of such an exalted platform than several (apparently) very well connected posters on here and other social media?

He never answers the probing questions anyway on them. Like said previously, it's an ego stroking exercise for him

To be fair, he's probably only doing it because he has to. Same with the two regurgitated articles he posts every day. I'm sure it gets rather painful for him too, especially when there's absolutely nothing to report on.

This is like the people that moan that they don't like Love Island or any other show on TV, there's a simple fix to it, don't watch.

I'm sure most people who say these thinks do exactly that. You have to watch or listen to, or read something at least once to decide that you think it is rubbish or a waste of time. It's an opinion based on what you have seen which is why in this case after reading his webchat once decided it's pure *******s and choose not to read it any more. Doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on it?

I'm prepared to give him the benefit of doubt in this respect, which makes it even more pointless.

Instead of waffling on in web chats, LC would be better getting on the phone and trying to get answers. Or use the web chat to solicit questions from fans that he will then doorstep Alan Hardy and get answered. We’re way beyond just waiting for press releases from the club.

A few obvious Qs for Hardy:

1 The club went on the market in January and the fans were reassured several times that a deal was imminent, with a price agreed. Nearly six months later, nothing. Can you explain why you made those statements, and why they haven’t come to fruition?

2 Why are you now talking to a new consortium and what does this mean for the SA consortium? Also, what happened to the negotiations with the convicted fraudster?

3 What is happening behind the scenes to ensure that next season isn’t a repeat of this year?

4 Where will the players be training next season?

5 How will the Waterside development affect Notts County?

6 How many season tickets have been sold in the last month due to the uncertainty surrounding the club?

7 Can you explain your reported valuation of the club at £6 million? Many people would call that an absurd sum for a consistently loss-making operation.

8 Can you confirm that £35,000 of Lifeline money was used on pitch improvements this summer? Can you detail the costs?

9 What do you expect to happen if we go back to court on July 10 without a deal?

Of course you can have an opinion on it but whenever I see the webchat mentioned on here (and I'm not defending it, I've never had the desire to see/read it) it quickly just devolves into everyone moaning about how cr*p it is.
