Could be a blessing in disguise and allow willems to make the position his.

Of course if he's ever not available and Bruce doesn't change to a back 4 with Dummet at lb..well....

Still not great to lose him, regardless of the potential benefit.

Do we know what injury it is?

Let’s see what the diving Jetro has to offer. Never been impressed with Ritchie as a winger he has zero end product

    Jetro is injured.

I wanted to comment that there is a history of this kind of challenge going un punished against our players.

De Jong broke Ben Arfa's leg and didn't even get a yellow. Kane put Lejueren out for a season didn't get a yellow.

Now Richie is hobbled by Chaudry and the FA aren't suspending him or fining him or his Leicester.

    Classic southern bias

Willems trained yesterday, should be fine for the match.

Ritchie might not be world class but he works his balls off for the team in every game and unsettles his opposite man. I’d much rather have him in the team than Wanquillo (who ranges from average to pish and never scores) or even Atsu who can be diabolical at times.
    We will miss Ritchie.

Ritchie has become just that though...a player that runs a lot. He not particularly good at anything. He doesn't create from the wide position at all even when played in an advanced role. We looked more dangerous when Atsu replaced him on Wednesday.

I've never been a big fan of Atsu but at least he worries the defence with actual crosses and running past them.

He should be behind all our left sided options (not including wanquillo) and be a bench player.

Well. At least that's a bit of positive news

100% agree mate he should be a bench warmer at best. Atsu brings a lot more attacking options to the team than sideways/backwards pass Ritchie
