Ferking joke what the **** about Bolton ??
Football is corrupt
Wait until you've read the sponsorship deals going on at Hillsborough!
They plead guilty, probably to get the judgement over with quickly and give them time to make sure they still avoid relegation. A bit like the way we did a couple of years back.
Agree about the inconsistencies though. About time the EFL just published a menu of deductions and stuck to it.
e.g. Fail to fulfill a fixture or fail to pay the players - 1st offence -3pts, 2nd offence -6pts, 3rd offence -12pts ...etc.
Play ineligible player - 1st offence -3pts, .....etc
Only just seen this. Why am I not surprised about the outcome. Good to take it on the chin and move on unlike 'Protected' Bolton who just hope theirs goes away and is forgotten about!
Just getting worse for Macclesfield....looks like another 3 point deduction coming their way. Here's the latest news.

If the EFL can’t see what’s happening to lower league clubs then they’re not really interested.
Consistency doesn’t even enter into it.
If some of the Championship clubs get their way and they do away with the £39M maximum over three seasons there will be no point in small clubs aspiring to get promoted from League 1 to the Championship.

Not 100% certain how this works, but, it seems, its an independent panel that set the penalty not the EFL. Looks like EFL want to appeal the penalty dished out to Bolton.
Quoute "The English Football League will appeal against the "lenient" suspended points deduction given to Bolton Wanderers over unfulfilled fixtures.
Bolton had a five-point deduction suspended for 18 months after failing to fulfil fixtures against Brentford last season and Doncaster this term.
The EFL said it is "disappointed by the conclusions reached by the independent disciplinary commission".
