How long before they become bad signings....

I see in the press today that Kelly and Raggett are being assessed whether they are available for Saturday, now no doubt when fully fit these two are good l1 players, in the same way that fit players like Morrison, Hall, Clucas & Blackett were good solid championship players. Now unfortunately all of those players turned out to be poor signings due to the fitness levels over a long part of the season. Now Evans is very vocal about how bad the previous managers managed the players in the last two years, he is also vocal about saying that he will only play players when the medical team say they are fit. So at what point do we think Kelly and Raggett are bad signings, how many games do they have to miss before we say it was a gamble that failed just like the gamble on Morrison, Hall etc?

    Incremental!

The good person act with Paul Warne suited us! Players on decent wages in league one but poor in comparison in the Championship will always be a problem for us.

The players that we've signed over the years have been impressive. The amount of international players we've produced is a miracle really.

It's hard to see which player in the lot we've signed that are up to that level.

We've gone backwards and we won't go forwards again until the structure of the club changes and that'll only happen when the manager changes.

Stewie has had a few moments of inspiration. One was inviting a former player from the ranks to become manager.

Stewie has also had his fair share of moments when inspiration deserted him. These probably occurred when he was taken in by listening to prospective managers' bullhsitting.

I personally think that Kelly and raggett are here for the wages like most from last season. It seems easy to feign injury here. Although jch still gets picked on 70 percent fitness

I’d much rather see the back of Evans than the Chairman and his board and I will be delighted with the return of bringing players in and developing them.

As I mentioned in a previous post I fear we might have hired some sick notes where time has caught up with their bodies. We will know at seasons end when we can view the stats. I hope I'm wrong but don't think I will be. Any contract for a player sliding towards the mid thirties must be productivity based IE how many games are they available for. If we lose out on some names, ok, but then it someone else's problem.
It's nice and cosy not being on the pitch on a Tuesday night a long way from home with horizontal rain and a gale blowing. Will we learn?

I always believe if a player is over 30 and you get half a season from them you have done well.
If they are class (for the team/division) it's a bonus.

Example frecklington. Last 2 seasons he Played 22 and 19 games for us. The bloke was class for us and wouldn't have any problems him being here at 32/33 (he's obviously not that age now). Kelly has been class and if Coventry were in league 1 would be happy with Kelly playing at 34. Portsmouth would have probably been the same with raggett of they were not promoted last season .
Because these players have just joined the club folk lable them as money grabbing and only her for the cash. I've seen nothing from Kelly or raggett to suggest they are swinging the lead and are here just for 1 last payday...
Even when they are not selected or in the squad due to injury they are at the games Saturday and Tuesday nights.
Btw. Green has been to every game this season and supports the lads. Also Kelly and raggett since injury

I wonder what the true budget Evans was given to bring these players in? You can only bring in a certain type of player with the cash you have to play with. I'm not defending Evans but, there's been no big shouts from upstairs saying we're going for it again this time around.

That's OK then , nice to see they are supporting the lads just like us.I didn't expect them to be tucked up in bed , just earning their money like I have to
