    Stewards at NYS

Unfortunately this incident doesn’t surprise me with the dicks employed for security on match days.

    This is shocking.

@RUFC or G4 please investigate and take appropriate action.

It's amateurish and one of the points I was trying to make on earlier thread
We may well have moved into a magnificent (for us) stadium but we've maintained (in fact it's sometimes worse) too many of the old behind the scenes attitudes

The random "gate" just before Don Street junction yesterday is just another example.

"what the hell is this for" was just greeted with a smile from the lady stood behind it

Mistakes do happen, the person that never makes one has not been born yet but when they happen they are Learning opportunities

We, G4 and SYP don't seem (or want) to learn from them

I get why they go to private companies for the security because they usually train their employees or should do.

I just wonder if these people who are employed are people with too much aggression and not enough sense to put someone in need medical attention the right direction.

Surely they have walky talkies that can be used to ask the simple question to one of their supervisers.

I hope the catch the ignorent gits and never let them steward at a football match again. This also must extend to the two police officers mentioned. It's not bloody rocket science.

Here is the post by Coneheadjohn. a Rams fan.

" So,my fault took Joel, needed to give him a lift he was up to it...my decision and a bad one.

15 minutes before kick off his face has dropped(palsy)and he’s ill and going downhill,he’s been passed out all of the first half.

We arrange to get him out at halftime and get him seen too,at half time me and his brother assist him out and ask security where to go,we follow there instructions only to be sent back by different security,we are then confronted by half a dozen of the original security.Who run up to me in an aggressive manner.

I explain to them that they sent me down that way and we have been sent back,my son is ill and I need to get him help.

They tell me I can’t go this way,I tell them I’ve been sent this way by someone at which point one of them runs up to me and pushes me with force to the chest.

I lose my mind,am I out of order?

I have just left a game at halftime with my son who has a serious illness, asked the stewards for help when I followed their instructions one of them runs at me and pushes me hard in the chest.

I said to the guy,why have you just pushed me and he denied it.

A very unpleasant scene then ensued all caused by this ridiculous act, where I’m surrounded by 10 stewards and 2 police because I tried to leave early to get Joel medical help.

I’ve then got a situation where Joel is losing his mind his 16 year old brother was put in a situation he shouldn’t have and this lot are all in my face when all I did was try and leave the ground the right way.

Of you don’t leave you will be arrested??

I’ve been trying to leave for 15 minutes!

My fault I should never have gone. "

Barring the odd grumpy one I think the majority of stewards are fine.

They're employed by Showsec anyway not G4.

Before we moan about stewards then I’d ask how true this is.

If they (the fans) had asked then they definitely wouldn’t show away fans where to go when it’s in the WS unless we have a medical room in away end but they would escort them or get someone to.

If you read the thread on their forum it seems genuine.

Showsec or G4 matters not a jot
IF this is a true reflection of what happened then it needs sorting and action taken

It is Showsec at NYS, has been for quite some time and very recently they've signed a 3yr contract.
They have contracts with much bigger clubs than ours, some of them in the PL.

Best thing the Derby supporter can do is complain direct to RUFC and then make a separate complaint direct to Showsec at their Head Office.

It was G4S when the NYS first opened but they were bringing stewards up from Coventry, at least Showsec employ local people.

Well then they need to contact our club and put a complaint in.

The stewards would normally either fetch a medical person/team to them or take them to the medical room, if that’s not happened then very poor and needs sorting but still just because it’s been said doesn’t mean it’s true.

The young lady that had her head split open (which is true btw) by a moron was treated very well by our medical team before being taken to hospital where she had a ct scan and had to have her head glued.
I wish her well in her recovery
