    We were lucky…but I’ll take it !

A poor performance, with us again lacking any real quality. There were some positives…
Button deserved his selection and demonstrated he is a worthy replacement for Johnno.
Clarke continues to impress and I hope we are able to secure him permanently. Potential Captain ?
O’Shea and AJ (who pressed forward well) complemented each other, albeit shabby defending to concede.
Carroll threatened and deserved his goal.
Matty Philips looked lively when he came on.
Reach pressed forward when he got the ball and whilst his crosses were loose, at least he did get the ball into the box most times and provided Carroll’s goal.
Furlong deserved his selection and his performance should keep his place
Clearly there was an incident with Robinson with the BRE giving him some stick ?
Overall a low quality game, typical of our recent form…but we won…Phew

Watched the game on a stream, Robinson bottled out of a challenge with the keeper, it was pure cowardice, the BRE rightly gave him stick, the next time he touched the ball lots of people booed, rightly hooked minutes later, complete charlatan

Again thanks for your summary Prando......
How did the team selection go down with the crowd there?
Here it was regarded as the same old same old.

There was initial positivity in view of the 5 or so changes. The formation seemed ‘same old’ but there was more progression upfield rather than the constant passing back of recent games. Molumby coming in for some stick, as he was the main perpetrator, following his continual turning to pass back. Bruce’s selection generated a better team spirit, despite the lack of quality, and pleasing to see the majority of the players taking time to walk around the ground saluting the fans at the end of the game.
It’s amazing what a win does…positive chanting as we left the ground! We’re a fickle lot !!

When Robbo bottled out going in on the goalie, somebody at the bottom of the Brummie had a go at him, Robbo then shouted something back, not sure if he swore at him, but it was towards the wheelchair supporters.

Robinson has been consistently shocking and rarely gets out of first gear!! Why the hell is he even selected? Why is Livermore always selected as he’s the same? Should a captain not lead by example in terms of discipline - working his balls off and team spirit?

AJ and O'Shea were awful, O'Shea is not strong enough to play in the middle of a back 3 and AJ was lucky on more than 1 occasion not to give a goal away, i agree about Clarke but we do have a lot of contracted centre halves we need to move on before we offer him a deal, also not sure Button is a long term replacement for Johnstone and we should be looking for a younger replacement, Henderson from Man Utd? all in all we have a lot to do.
