    Carroll and Newcastle again...

More speculation about Carroll going to Newcastle in January and the board willing to take a loss to get him off the books.

Obviously i understand the business sense of it, cutting your losses before they grow, but i cant help feeling that we would be better to keep him

Whilst we have been performing well without him and praise has been lavished on Valencia i have seen a couple of games where Carroll would have been more useful. If it were i, i would keep him and use him in tandem with Amalfitamo where i think he would be of more use than Valencia, who imo, is more of a ground man.

I would keep him, not necessarily start with him, but have him in the arsenal, it would add another dimension to our game providing we dont rely on the Carroll Nolan scenario we saw in the past.

He wants to stay. And we'll need him for the ANC in January, I'd forgotten about that !

Maybe we can get Nolan to grow his hair and learn Geordie. That might

Would have thought Nolan only needed to brush up on his Geordie, his hair might be a problem though. Do they make Viagra for Hair?

If he was fit and not on double everyone else wages I'd keep him too but I think for 90k p/w we could replace him with an outstanding player or at least two very good ones. He just doesn't spend enough time on the football pitch unfortunately and as a result has not scored many goals, this is his third year with us and I would guess tat Carlton Cole outscores him every season.

No way we'd take the £6m that seems to have been mooted. I do think if the Geordies offer anything near what we paid we'll snap their hand off.
Too many up sides not to take a decent offer.

Dont think there is much chance of us getting anywhere near what we paid for him, would you considering his medical history?!

The question is now, are the two D`s willing to keep paying his wages, or take a loss?! I think the latter stands more of a chance especially when you consider at the moment he seems to be surplass to requirements.

But like i previously said, i would prefer to keep him, but it isn`t my money.

especially if we do well in the cups or dare i say euro lge!

liked the point Jon made about Amalfitano, if we have to change the play tactic we now have the

Who's gonna come in and take on his huge salary with his fragile frame. Even if we wanted to get rid it will probably require Carroll taking a pay cut. Very much doubt that will happen.

We could always give him away and agree to pay part of his salary too, but then we might as we
