    Clapham Chemical Attack

There are "big questions" for the Home Office after it emerged that the Clapham chemical attack suspect Abdul Shokoor Ezedi was granted asylum in either 2021 or 2022, despite having committed a ***ual offence in 2018.

What a completely s hit show this government is! Why are we still letting in thousands of illegals when they are coming from France? Not difficult - give them nothing and turn them back! Next time it might be something more frightening than a chemical attack!

    Unbelievable!

This one came from Afghanistan I believe and claimed (rather conveniently!) that he had converted to Christianity and therefore his life would be in danger if sent back. Totally agree that it is absolutely farcical that illegal immigrants or those legally claiming asylum should be granted it if they have committed offences in this country, especially serious ones as in this case. As you say, it really beggars belief.

In these times of economic hardship particularly, immigration is a hot topic and whilst it certainly needs urgently addressing it is more complex than just blaming the boat people but the system is clearly very broken. The Tories like to say that they are the party to stop immigration and are always keen to blame such events on wokey leftists but they have been in charge for 13 plus years and their own record on it is abominable.

In the meantime, there remain Afghanis who had helped British armed services in their country and whose lives are genuinely at risk whilst they remain there yet are struggling with the asylum process despite the best efforts of some of our own military.
