    Toon vs Scouse mackems

All change again. Hayden, Shelvey and Carroll back in, you'd think, although I honestly wouldn't mind if either of the Longstaff brothers kept their place if Bruce doesn't feel Shelvey is quite ready. Manquillo is a doubt so Yedlin is a direct replacement. Joelinton actually did ok the other day when he did manage to get the ball so i'd keep him up top on the left with Almiron on the other side of Carroll. Gayle just isn't good enough at this level; never has been and never will be. On a side note, nice to hear Bruce throwing his team under the bus and blaming the whole defeat on mistakes, totally ignoring his shocking tactics which saw us spend most of the second 45 minutes in our own half and have 26% possession.

Enjoy the game-I'll be listening in the car as I'm away visiting a mate this weekend. Everton are a poor team, imo (with horrible fans, hence the thread title) but we're poor too. Could be one to forget but it's the sort of game we should be getting 3 points from at home.

I like your title "Scouse Mackems"

It succinctly sums up the situation beween the two clubs in either area.

Agree with all of that...but the "new manager bounce" could well be in effect..

Regarding Gayle..don't think we should have played him at all...we are just lowering his value..

    Enjoy your weekend, mate.

Cheers, man. The sad irony is that the mate I'm going to see is the one I got my season ticket with in the season we started with Ardiles and ended with Keegan and who I've sat next to ever since.
