    25 man squad includes Ulvestad

I was a bit surprised to see we have filled all 25 PL slots so cannot bring in any other unsigned players and more so to see Freddie is there. Having played 7 games for us and 27 for Charlton scoring 1 goal in the last three seasons is hardly worthy, bur Sean must have a cunning plan for his last year

It looks as though there are only 24 names. HG means that they are considered 'Home Grown and clubs must include a minimum of 8 of these players.

Confusing who qualifies as Home Grown.

    Arfield - No
    Barnes - Yes
    Hendrick - Yes
    Brady - Yes
    Ward - No

    Room for a little 'un!

No you are not thick Casper, teach me to read the whole article!

I saw this on a competitors site saying there were 25 on the list, but couldn't post the link. So I found this one which had added the numbering and made me look a bit daft - a common occurrence these days!, The HG allocation seems weird in a few instances.

    However here is the definition

A Home Grown player will be defined as one who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).

So who should get the extra slot - Joe Ledley has no club.

    Thoughts on Freddy?

The only times I have seen Freddy he looked a composed, creative player but a bit light weight. He never really imposed himself.

Freddy has never really had enough play to be able to call it. The only times I have seen him play he has looked neat and tidy without ripping up trees.

Just so far down the pecking order now I cant see how he will get a game?
