What does Bayern Munich see in Cleary that Val Can’t See

Bayern Munich aren’t stupid and looking at Cleary! Do you think they would look at donkey Hugill?

Why the f uck is he not given an opportunity?

Why is GH on the bench again when he’s clearly better than some of the dross who play?

Why is El Capitano the first on the team sheet when he’s no more mobile than a Chelsea Pensioner?

Come on Al, you say in another thread that we shouldn’t play Johnstone because he won’t sign a new deal. This lad hasn’t even signed a pro deal!

Very common in football for clubs to stand their ground with talent and not put them in the shop window by playing them. Very uncommon that clubs play players without a pro deal.

He bangs a few goals and the money offered by big clubs would be astronomical. This lad could be worth £30m if we play it right.

Give Fellows and TGH a run of games. Although TGH has only signed until 2023 and his drop out of the team may be down to contractual issues. Who knows…

That’s the point Matt - we never play it right! The talented lad will be off quickly like all the other talent that’s left - too slow with contracts and no opportunities! Would Rooney have made it had he not been given that first opportunity at Everton? Who knows but that’s the point!

Hugill is dog s hit so surely one of these lads deserves an opportunity and even if their stock went through the roof - it’s better than leaving for nothing although that’s our forte!

I agree. I think we're doing the right thing now by holding ground though, agents are in the ears of these kids right from the off. Think of Ferguson's situation and the message that sent to others; 'don't sign on for too long and get a handful of games and you'll get a better deal from a different club'.

When Bilic saw him in pre season and thought he was decent he should have been told to sign an extension and he'd be the backup right back with 10+ games under his belt. No one would have offered him £30k a week at that point.

We read in November TGH was in for a new deal and now he's out the team - no doubt that is a similar situation.

I don't get all this talk regarding contracts. What we need are the best players that are available to us on the field of play now. We desperately need the points so let the future take care of itself. It may seem a simplistic approach but that's how I see the situation.
