At last just as well I didn't take this long to run 10 miles. This IT lark is all smoke and mirrors if you ask me. What I am going to do with my shed full of carrier pigeons. Not to mention the quill and parchment.

Anyway thanks to everyone for the Great South Run donations and messages of support. The weekend started with me going undercover for an overnight in a hotel adjacent Fratton Park. I did consider some vandalism but decided I might improve the place so left well alone.
The actual event was fantastic, a great atmosphere all the way and I must say fair play to the citizens of Portsmouth who turned out in their thousands to line the route. Not one bit of abuse but I think I did get a couple of Come on You Saints shouts - of course I could have been hallucinating. Running through the centre of Pompey wearing the Saints vest was a bit of a laugh, the first 8 miles easy last 2 miles back along The Esplanade tough into the breeze which is when The Drill Sargent aka one of my son
