Get him off the radio!
Notts are flying high in the league and all he can do is moan about Notts players not giving 100% in previous derby games. Which is a fair point but totally irrelevant as we know Nolans team will give 100%
More annoyingly Slater going on about the crowds we used to get in 1949/50 of 36000 against Leyton Orient and how Notts fan need to back Hardy as the club is still losing money.
Why? Why push the negative rather than be positive?
The bloke really doesn't have a clue...
The point about effort in previous games is irrelevant I agree, but Colin is right that more Notts County fans need to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to attending home games. If Notts County's home gates reflected the number of people I've met who describe themselves as Notts fans, plus the number of excuses they make for not getting to Meadow Lane, we would have gates in five figures every week.

Comparisons with 70 years ago are pointless, because the 'old' Meadows area used to produce so much of our core support. Even so, I think there's a fair few so-called Notts fans who haven't pulled their fingers out when the team has been going well in the past 30-40 years. It doesn't happen that often, so it's worth getting out of the armchair when it does.
