Attacking midfielders needed before Transfer Deadline Day

With us being linked with a variety of strikers which we don’t even need as we have one of the best strike forces in the Championship at our current disposal, we should be looking at attacking midfield targets in a area we are sorely lacking in especially when we sit far too deep and playing on the attack at home at times, we need to push up field and have more better movement in the midfield area to get us going and scoring the goals especially when we play against teams who come to Pride Park and play on the offensive and come to defend like Bristol City and Reading.

Hopefully we see one or two come in to help make a huge difference to our game and help us push further away from the pack in the race for automatic promotion before Wednesday deadline.

Although not actually a Derby fan as I recall, didn't he and his family pledge allegiance to Forest?

Know his family quite well as we both live in Spondon and went to Primary School and Secondry School together, he was born in Derby, supported Derby as a young lad but when you play for Forest you have to pledge your allegiance to any club you play for. He is a top lad, played football his whole life and enjoys every minute of it and always had the talent to be something special.

A huge prospect for the future and Forest have got a special player on their hands and would give any team that extra bit of magic for any team he plays for.

The kid has got it all......

Attacking midfielder . We used to have 3 of them. One went to Burnley, one to Watford and the 3rd is currently out on loan to Cardiff.

How many hints does GR have to give that he doesn't play AMs before it sinks in?

What MFs do we have left? the club's OS says we have 7. Hudds, GT, Ledley, BJ and Hanson are played as DMs. BJ occasionally on the left of the 3 in our 1-4-2-3-1 formation. The other 2 are Anya who is more suited to the left hand side of the 3 role and 18 year old Luke Thomas who isn't 1st team ready yet.

Elsnik would be in with a shout beut he is also out on loan. Having said that, does anyone really see GR moving away from what is, essentially, a back 7 and a front 4?

Where would an attacking midfielder fit into that system?

Anya is likely to move away from the club as he is not featured in the first team squad only in the U23’s. We sit far too deep at times at home and allow teams to press forward and struggle to break out and counter attack and the midfield get’s broken down too easily. Us sitting back and play a more casual game suits us away and can cope without attacking midfielders but at home we struggle without them.

Bryson has never been the same attacking player since 2012 so him moving out on loan to Cardiff was best move for him to rediscover himself and have a change of scenery.

Love to see Nick Powell and Will Grigg from Wigan come to Derby they have both been excellent for the club this season in League 1 which has seen them rise to the top of the league and chasing promotion.

Brighton have had a £3m bid turned down for Nick Powell from Wigan as they want a more considerable offer.

These two exquisite signings would majorly help us towards sealing promotion to the Premier League that’s for sure.

You need to be polishing your crystal ball a bit more vigourously pal. Rowett says different.

He is going on the fact from last night’s performance of him coming in and taking Russell place and stepping up to the plate, he has had numerous interests from clubs to take him away from the club and Rowett has taken an interest in bringing a replacement in for Russell and Anya is a player who, is a good little servent who can be called upon if we need to when someone drops out of the squad which there was and he isn’t short of options, that is what point he is trying to get across and if he needs to add an addition to get someone who can change things up a bit he will do.
