O/T Racist or over the top sensitivity?

This guy goes to a Halloween meet, dressed as a famous black actor, from a great film.
Gets stick for it and lambasted.

Now is it really racist to do this? After all, he's dressed up as great actor.

In the same token, one of the funniest films going and I don't see folks screaming about this one.

Have we really become such a powder puff society?

The article explains why some people consider it racist, it's not something I would do myself but I wouldn't have a go at a bloke on public transport for doing it either.

    Storm in a teacup.

Fair do's Driller. It is what I thought.
I just don't get it, why folks are so tetchy. If it isn't a meaningful insult, why get up upset?
Take Blazing Saddles. Probably one of the funniest films ever. Yet there was an outcry against it. Probably the only thing that saved it was the fact Mel Brooks is Jewish and pokes fun at them as well as white ignorance.

Telling that you bring up this rubbish, but say nothing about anti Semitic, alt right murder of 11 Jewish people in the US over the weekend.

    You’re right, powder puff society.

Actually I am appalled at that brutal crime. As I believe everyone else is that has heard of it.
A single nut job, that hopefully is on his way to the chair.
Coming from you though, a staunch momentum disciple. I'd have thought antisemitism was right up your ally.
After all, 17, 000 red flag wavers have jacked it in, in protest at your horrible little club.

A single nut job, together with the other single nut job sending bombs to people, and the single nut job who killed an MP not long ago.

Meanwhile MI5 has taken over from the police the job of monitoring far-right terrorism, putting them on the same level as the IRA and ISIS.

That's quite a lot of single nut jobs.

I’m not Momentum or a Corbynite, don’t make stuff up. Your views have more in common with extremists than mine.

As Driller said this guy is far from a lone “nut job”, and his social media suggests he was radicalised in 2016. You may think this was a “brutal crime”, but the man who committed it would agree with a lot of the stuff you write on here, as would the pipe bomber. I hope that makes you feel uncomfortable. It should.

I think you can say the same for anyone who holds any views about anything......are the people that "called out to Empire and the Windrush" responsible for the Jamaican Yardie Gangs?.....clearly not, but they brought them here.......is Merkel responsible for the reported 100 plus *** attacks in Koln last year?.....no, but she encouraged Muslim migrants to come and has had to resign as Party Leader because the voters have had enough....is Trump responsible for the latest nutjob, no, but he applauds the Right for electing him and some say, encourages them, I'm not sure...is Einstein responsible for the Japanese deaths when Big Boy was dropped on them?...no, but he invented nuclear fission.

I could go on and on, without any final answers.

I think the more disturbing thing is why grown adults insist on dressing in fancy dress in public?! It's bizarre! Save it for the children!
