    Which Enzio will show up?

Hi all, I'm new to the board and live in Reading though been a Pie for 41yrs!
i wondered about your thoughts on this:
I was at the FGR, Tranmere and Cheltenham(god help us) games and at FGR Enzio was on fire, a real handful in the other two games he didn't show up, this exposed Mitch at right back who as we know is not a natural defender anyway. Now you pick Enzio every time, he's our creative outlet but his game seems to have an effect at both ends...there was a moment against Cheltenham when CMS ran fully 20 yards and beat Enzio to a ball he was 5yards away from...
The 3 man midfield minimises the Enzio risk as there's more cover for our shakey defence it seems to me.
So a 434 system with Enzio having less defensive responsability and greater freedom seems the way to go from now. With jim out, I'd play Mitch in midfield and bring in Toots...and keep Stead off the pitch!

    Hi Ben, good first post.
I'd rather he left the defence as it is and keep Tootle as sub. If you have to have Rose in midfield I'd even prefer to see Barclay at right-back. Agree with you on starting with a midfield 3, from our limited options I'd like to see Doyle-Vaughn-Allesandra for this one. Gomis-Hemmings-Boldewijn ahead of them. Allesandra can be pushed up to make a 4-2-3-1 if needed. With you on Stead!

Gomis in the front three would add pace and Hemmings is a link up man a lot of the time...far more chance of sending Gomis through then Stead. I know what you mean about not disrupting the defence.

I didn't go to Cheltenham but spoke to someone who did, said Enzio was the worst of a bad bunch. Watched the Carlisle game on IFollow and he was the worst of a good bunch. A couple of worldies and a penalty won against the Macc Lads , he's done nothing to justify his price tag in my eyes .I really hope the lad shows up tommorow and puts in an Hemmings ( another player I have been critical of) type performance.

He’s undoubtedly a talented player, but he’s a typical winger at this level and has as many off days as he does good days.

Unfortunately, as with many of our signings last summer, we paid good money for him, without having any clear idea about how we were going to use him. I would love to see him in a team that makes proper use of his talents.

I know there is a good player in there somewhere. Maybe I have been spoilt by great Notts wingers from the past. Stevie Carter, John Chiedozie , Nathan Thomas. Am I expecting too much?

Of course you are, no-one can ever live up to the legend that is Nathan Thomas.

Dave Smith . I know injury curtailed his career but the most direct winger I ever seen at Notts. Loved him
