    O/T:- Dominic Grieve

With him losing last nights vote of no confidence, will there be more no confidence votes for remainer MPs?

With the result of yesterdays withdrawal bill going against TM, and no way of any compromise from our elected MPs, then is this a back door way to get a Brexit without another referendum or general election?

Notice Mr Grieve has lost the support of his local branch and may find himself losing his seat at the next election, sign of things to come?

The next general Election will have the lowest turnout ever, with many of those muppet MPs losing their seats. Why would anyone vote for a bunch of self opinionated ar*eholes who have blatantly ignored a democratic vote to leave the EU..

Whatever our preferred 'deal' turns out to be, Customs Union or whatever, May's 'base divorce deal' will still need to be passed. It's the only one on offer from the EU and they ain't gonna change it. Not voting for it is just people playing politics, I'm afraid but as Duzzer sez, there will be a price to pay for quite a few politicians at the ballot box come next election. Best scenario is that we just drop out on April 12th, don't need any 'divorce deal' then and IMO, it's the only true Brexit there is.

I’m a bit confused, I thought the leave vote was at least in part about sovereignty, and getting some power back to Parliament. Dominic Grieve has done more than almost anyone to ensure that and to make sure the executive is held to account by the legislative. His reward for that is to be deselected by his association in favour of some clown who until a couple of years ago was in Ukip. If the Tories want to be a far right sect that’s fine by me, but people should know what they’re voting for.

In other news the Vote Leave campaign dropped their appeal against a fine by the Electotal Commission for overspending. Worth repeating that the referendum was won by a corrupt campaign.

Precisely Durham, most of them have their own Agenda's, seeking personal power and gain.

As Jay Lafferty (who?) puts it: “The way I understand it is that Parliament has said no to Teresa’s deal and they said no to no deal but some of them said yes to no deal but no to Teresa’s deal but not as many as said no to no deal and no to Teresa’s deal but they don’t have a deal of their own which is a big deal because without a deal then no deal is likely to be the deal that’s dealt and the people who want a deal can’t be dealing with that.”

Beats me why people thought we’d be able to strike a deal with the EU that would be beneficial to the UK. It’s been an exercise by them to discourage any other country taking the same route.
