    Change of mentality

Just my take on the last couple of games (even if it was with the prawn sandwich brigade and not in the Brummie)

Firstly I enjoyed seeing us having the ball more often and controlling the game more which I haven’t really seen since we had RDM or Mowbray

Where I think we differ from those teams especially RDM was the fact that we had a commanding CF and were a better organised back 4 with better defensive midfielders able to see off games after nicking a goal

What I would say tho is we have our best CB out and when Olsson was out we used to struggle too

We have a lot of players that need to gel and click which takes time, and does explain why we were a bit lost in the last third today as players don’t know each others runs / preferences etc

I don’t recall any team making this many changes and hitting the ground running apart from maybe Southampton one year

Feeling positive with Bilic think he will try and improve players, even people like Burke who was crap today but surely we need to try and get them playing rather than slag them off

Thought Furlong looked good, and I thought we were going to struggle at RB but we seem to have 2 good options

Would like to see a solution at DM to help the back four in tight games or when we are up and under pressure don’t think it’s Livermore and Sawyers is more offensive minded although looked very good

Edwards has started strongly but needs to improve final ball as do most of our attackers

A fair post BS but you missed out one important thing the main thing where the goals coming from . we have one player who if fit will get you 25 goals this season Austin the rest of the team won't get you 30 .

I do agree with you to a point

Last season we had goals from Barnes, JRod and Gayle along with Phillips and didn’t go up

Was mainly due to not being able to control games and see them off

I’d be happy with scoring less sharing goals around the team and seeing games off

This worked under Megson and RDM

Controlling games and winning breeds confidence and hopefully with Bilic who is very positive and appears to be a good man manager and certainly commands respect he can start to get average players players better than they are, surely that’s what managers should aim to do

Despite the last two results I am feeling quite positive. I thought Diangana and Pereira both looked promising last night. Sawyers is a magnificent buy (more a steal than a buy!) and Krovinovic is a very good player. Austin isn't yet fully fit but will give us goals. We suddenly find ourselves with 2 good right backs and Ajayi looks very good. (Better than Dawson.) I have loved watching Albion play some really good football over the two games while allowing for the new players needing more time to settle in and it is true we haven't solved our goal scoring problems but in terms of building a team I think we have made a very good start.

How can you think Burke is worth anyone's time anymore?

Lets hope we can reproduce our famous season 1-0 scorelines.......so we only need another 44 goals and 44 clean sheets...
    No problem!!
