Falling out of Love with football

I am finding myself falling out of love with football. The sport I have adored as long as I can remember.

I went to my first match 40 years ago at Ibrox and have been hooked since but it seems that it is becoming far removed from the game of the people that I love

I'm just going to bullet point some of the things that miff me. Feel free to add your own:

*The notion that the ESL was acceptable

*The hypocrisy of Sky Sports critising elite clubs trying to make more money

*Premier League games on the same day as the FA cup final, 5:15 kick off and the Chelsea Manager preferring to win last night than the world's oldest cup competition

*VAR and it's focus to take goals away rather than give them

*Diving being rewarded rather than punished - See Foden and Bamford staying on their feet recently

*Calls for managers to be sacked after a couple of poor results

*Tough tackling is a dying art

*Scotland have qualified for the euros for the first time in donkey's - buy a shirt for just £120

*People spend half a game sat at a match staring at their phones

*Ten match ban for alleged racist language - 3 match ban for violent conduct

*A Brighton fan rang Talksport last night after being at the Amex for the first time in a year to see his side come from 2 down to beat the champions 3-2 to complain about the catering and the parking facilities.

    *FFP is meaningless

*Parachute payments reward failure and create a 2 tier league within the championship

*Teams now just seem to YOYO between leagues. The same clubs are promoted and relegated every couple of years

*I can tell you know who the top 4 in the premier league next year will be

Yes it’s starting to bore me tbh and mainly due to the points you’ve made
Does anyone even know what the rules are?
    No consistency either

That and that it's become another medium for corporate virtue-signalling and socialist/ globalist propaganda.

The left ruin everything, they're ruined cinema, TV, music, publishing and sport.

Political bit please. The usual suspects up to their usual tricks.

Unfounded gobblydygook from the king of it.

I could argue on here about it but I play by the rules now I suggest you do the same and we can all get on.

You know the rules as well as me millertop. My issue isn't particularly with Scum though I might challenge his stuff about race but what can be more political than the stuff great fire put on here? What would you lot have said if I had put
"The right ruin everything, they've ruined cinema, TV, music, publishing and sport" on here.

I was hoping it would get a discussion and maybe some debate going, even perhaps some funny examples.

Had no idea it would go Left v Right. Especially so soon.

Agree with all of that scum. I honestly cannot recall the last time I watched a non Millers match on tv. I only pay for sky sports for the golf these days.

Blame Great fire for that. If he had not put that comment I would not have put my comment. He has basically made the thread political. He has just used it as an excuse to pedal general anti left views You never mentioned the left in your op to be fair to you so why did he need to?.

I am happy for the mods to remove my post and Great fires post and you can carry on your discussion as you intended as far as I'm concerned.

Millertop tha taking thi ball home again. I would have hated to play footy against you as a kid. Some folks have different views to you hence discussion takes place. In a democracy you tolerate their views and they tolerate yours its how things work.

It's not really left vs right as much as globalists vs nationalists.

    Anywhere vs nowheres.

And it's not even a "battle", the globalists have all the power and the money.
