Ronaldo 36, Cavani 34- not important for United

And we all think we’ve got an ageing squad. ! OGS doesn’t seem bothered by the age factor- should we be ?

Graham Alexander changed my opinion forever about whether age matters for a professional footballer, it's fitness and the will to play and win that counts.

Not exactly BT.It depends on how that player has lived his life.Ronaldo,Cavani and Alexander have probably never abused their bodies and stuck to their diet and training regimes for the whole of their careers.Djokovic is the same. They are like machines.

That's exactly my point CiB, the discipline and the will to keep on playing astonished me with Alexander. I was mighty impressed with the man I must admit.

He also knew how to score a penalty, it always astonishes me that so few of his fellow professionals copy his method. They'd rather play games with the keeper, trying to send him the wrong way, and often ending up with egg on their faces. The keeper was irrelevant to Grezza, he took him out of the equation, he was just a bystander, his only role to pick the ball out of the back of the net.

And then there is 39 year old Jimmy Anderson...
