I see Portsmouth fans didn't really rate him when he was on loan there,

Having said that, he can't be any worse than Button so I'd throw him in v Blackburn.

We need to get someone in who's got experience, but How hard will that be? Its a different level for Josh Griffiths, and with West Brom fans being as they are, a few bad games and he will be hammered.

Put Dike or Livermore in goal - at least there would not have been a gap with that Blues free kick! In fact - they would cover most of the width of the goal

The problem is that we can’t afford another poor performance from Button when we face Blackburn. His confidence is completely shot and our only other option is Josh Griffith. It’s not as if he’s an 18 year old, he’s now 21. He’s had loads of lower league experience, I think it’s nigh on a hundred appearances, Give him the opportunity, show that we have faith in him and see what he’s made of. What have we got to lose?

Goalies don’t normally come through at 21. A lot mature much later like Nick Pope. It’s a case of physical and mental development.

Griffiths is unique as he’s already had a fair amount of appearances by that age. He won’t be the finished article but the club think a lot of him.

I’d give him a go, what is there to lose? Button has easily been the worst in the league and there’s no sign of that changing.

We gave Palmer the chance, look at how he performed. So, give Griffiths his chance, if we don’t, we will never know.

What difference does it make if he is playing for Portsmouth or us? Goalkeepers are there to keep the ball out of the net. Whether its shots or headers. Whether its Ronaldo shooting or Joe Bloggs on a Sunday. The ball is heading for the goal and his job is to get his hands, feet legs or whatever on it. Get Griffiths in because I am afraid Button is a liability. His positioning is totally suspect and his anticipation is non-existent. He made an horrendous mistake playing for the Under 23's when Dike made his comeback. It was shocking.
