The Scottish cup is the Scottish Cup.....the oldest trophy in world football.
It isn't the men's Scottish cup and it certainly isn't The Men's Scottish Gas Scottish Cup......it makes it sound like a works 5 a side trophy.

It's The Scottish Cup no matter who sponsors it.
Once had an argument with someone who said he was a Scottish Cup winner. Turns out he won an under 16 Scottish Youth Cup not The Scottish Cup. But he was a DAB and decided his personal definition was right despite al the facts to the contrary that were in play.

Like the open championship......not British open......The Open.
The Scottish Cup instant recognition it's men and it's football......not any sponsor, no gender separation required, no SFA cup like FA Cup in England.......it's The Scottish Cup.
If they insist on a sponsor it cud be The Scottish Cup .....sponsored by Scottish Gas.......the men's bit I cud live to 100 and wouldn't call it that.
I would maybe even just call it THE CUP to **** off every other country.
