I'd say he can go, we haven't missed him much and we don't have to put with his arm waving anymore, cheerio!

Cash in deffo
With him here we are one dimensional.. we look like we have more than one plan now, either Bent on a direct style of passage, or Vydra for the counter attack. We take the lead with Bent on the pitch we usually go more compact anyway, that leaves Vydra to come on after 70 minutes against tiring defences to hit them on the snaffer.. boom boom..
Cash in and bank the money Mel, you know it makes sense me old mucker.
Taxi for Martin!
Presume whatever happens won't happen before January so he won't be eligible to play against us in a couple of weeks? At his best he was great for us...at his indifferent worst he was dreadful. Overall...I'd take the £9m.
Me too, take the 9m, how many times last season we said other teams had worked us out and took Martin out the game, without him we seem to have more options
We spent a similar sum on Vdyra. Which of the two would be the more likely to score lots of goals? One of Pearson's worst crimes against our club was to get rid of Martin. With McClaren in charge he would be a great asset.
Mel doesn't need the £9m and Bent alone is not going to be good enough to take us up.
However I fear this discussion is theoretical and Fulham will not agree to the cancellation of the loan

I don't think we'll get better than that, he can't have much longer on his contract. I'd say cash in and find a new forward plan.
If we sell Martin for £9million will the £3million we got from the loan come off the £9million or would it be we actually get £12million out of this deal!!! If so a nice piece of negotiation from Pearson and Mel!
if thats really the fee and money coming in from grant i say take it rebuild the places that need rebuilding
So, in effect, we're swapping Martin for Vydra. How many goals has Martin scored in the last 2 years compared to Vydra?
On paper, it's not good business.
