    Season tickets were the incentive

I know people will buy a season ticket regardless off the league we are playing in etc.

But we're is the incentive from Tony Stewart.

Under funded the club again last season.

Our best players have left or are been lined up to leave

No new in comings and with the players been furloughed doesn't look like much will be coming in.

Yet the old record keeps on spinning about the premiership and the rest off it.

    You not buying ?

Surely you don’t need an incentive to go and watch your team, maybe neutrals.

    Which best player has left?
Yes they are rumoured often but still here up to now

All clubs will have lost money and more fool them for still spending

Nothing new with transfer is it?

It’s TS’s dream to get us to Prem one year, he’s not stupid and doesn’t expect that to happen anytime soon, probably not expecting it anytime in the next ten years get over it

Get to red and white shop and spend some money

Same price as 2012 is enough incentive for me. Can’t wait to get back 😁

Easy really don’t go I’m with Audi can’t wait to experience a “real” match in person rather than watching the drama queens at the euros although dare I say it the refereeing standards have been excellent

I think that quite a few Millers fans get their backs up, mainly due to Tony Stewart coming out
with his spiel before a season starts.
To me its to get fans to purchase season tickets, then the club cuts off any connection with the
fans, with what is happening with the club.
I will get my season ticket when on sale, had my first season ticket in 1960, had the jubilation
& down factor over the years, but still supported my team Rotherham United.

We keep saying about the boardroom needing a person with football knowledge, but the new
trend is the director of football, who works with the manager & coaching staff, then they
report to the boardroom, from ground level.
Newport County have just decided to go down this path, a person with football knowledge,
    & finance in football.

So ELK, if we assume there's no money, how would you propose funding this?

30 pounds on every season ticket?
2 pounds on a game day ticket?
1 less player on the playing staff?
1 less coach on the coaching staff?
    Redundancies on the general staff?
    Replace another Director?
Sell the naming rights to NYS to Gay Pride?
TS pay it out of his pension savings?

Cam we are already funding this by paying Rob Scott, his title -
Head of Talent ID & Recruitment - Time to earn his money.
Cam if Rotherham United have no money, what are the finances of division 1 & 2 clubs.

30 pounds on every season ticket? - Wouldn't hurt and equates to an approx extra £1.30 per game.
2 pounds on a game day ticket? - This way an extra £46 a season if you went to all games in this measure but, why wouldn't you buy a S/T instead?
1 less player on the playing staff? - Can't really afford to lose a team player
1 less coach on the coaching staff? - How many are they overall throughout the club?
Redundancies on the general staff? - Again how many are they?
Replace another Director? - Who are the Directors and why would you replace them?
Sell the naming rights to NYS to Gay Pride? - How to cause a meltdown and trust this comment was you being facetious?
TS pay it out of his pension savings? - I think he's paid enough don't you?

It may only be a few quid more increase on a S/T but in all fairness to TS, we haven't had an increase for years.

Just going back to the first principles of finance from back in the days of pocket money/Saturday jobs when if I wanted something I either had to gave something up or found a way to earn some more.

The stadium naming was just a prompt that if TS did sell it to 'earn some more' there would likely be uproar from some corner of the MM camp irrespective of who it was sold to. The place I work raise the Pride flag outside our head office on June 1st and lower it again on June 30th when Pride Month is over. Doesn't bother me.
