If one is a professional footballer I am guessing that playing at a World Cup is the pinnacle.

For many, they may only ever have one chance in their career, if at all.

The fact is that they should never have been placed in this position. Sepp Blatter has admitted in Tages Anzeige that the decision for Qatar was corrupt. FIFA should have revoked the award the minutes it became clear that the decision was corrupt.

In which case, having subjugated their principals to career ambitions, it's the height of hypocrisy to now start moralising about Qatar and/or it's governance. They wanted to play football in a WC Final, and never mind where it's being held, and now they are, so imo they should just get on with the football and shut the feck up about the rest of it.
