    TS has been very unlucky...

...with managers. Redfearn was a good appointment and the policy behind it was the correct one but the results, especially against relegation rivals, were poor. Warnock was an excellent appointment given our precarious position but his prevarication, and ultimately his decision to go back on his word, cost us valuable time in the transfer market. Stubbs arrived on the back of a Scottish Cup win having successfully restructured Hibernian and, given his high level playing career, could have been expected to use his contacts in the game to good effect. Jackett seemed the ideal candidate, very knowledgeable, very experienced and he looked a perfect fit but, for whatever reason, chose to walk away.

So, managerial performances rather than managerial appointments are the more deserving of criticism.

Now, TS has, apparently, decided that the quality of manager we need is not available or, being almost a certainty for relegation, we're not currently an attractive proposition. So, he's opted for Paul Warne to hold the reins. There are arguments for and against but time will tell. Maybe. One thing though is certain, we'll get more commitment, effort, drive and determination from Warney than from all the above-mentioned, even if he is lacking in knowledge and experience.

What was that piece of advice Steve Evans said Sir Alex Ferguson had given him? Ah yes, that was it, "pick your chairman."
Well I bet our chairman doesn't look very appealing to prospective managerial applicants right now.
In the last two years we've had two managers leave in mysterious and unexplained circumstances (Steve Evans and Kenny Jackett).
Two managers who were employed to bring about a change of philosophy and approach at the club but who were each sacked after a few weeks because first team results weren't good enough (Neil Redfearn and Alan Stubbs).
One manager who wouldn't extend his tenure because the infrastructure and facilities at the club fall well short of Championship standards (Neil Warnock).
One interim manager who has said he doesn't want the job but will do it anyway for as long as he's asked to (Paul Warne).
Added to that, TS said there had been dozens of quality applicants for the job after Kenny Jackett jumped ship and then, after interviewing these quality people, he tells us none of them are suitable.
I'm not sure that TS has been unlucky as he's created these situations and some of them are because he hasn't had the courage of his original convictions.

You can still be unlucky even if you have made mistakes.

Yak, I wasn't a fan of Redfearn or Stubbs but TS said he'd brought them in to make radical changes to the philosophy of the club but can you honestly say they were given the time to implement their ideas?
TS needs to be clear what he expects from his managers or this ludicrously high turnover will just continue.
